Abstract Art Collective: Independent Studies

The Santa Barbara Abstract Art Collective (AAC) is a group of  60 professional Santa Barbara artists who have been exhibiting at numerous local venues since February 2012.  The AAC’s focus is on contemporary art and was formed to excite the public about abstract art and to provide exhibition space for members to show and sell their work.  The Collective is not just a group of artists exhibiting , but a mixture of artists with diverse backgrounds who aim to produce high-quality, aesthetic work.  The AAC vision is not to focus narrowly on purely abstract work, but to focus on “a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists with a degree of independence from visual references in the world.”

The current AAC exhibition is titled, “Independent Studies” at the UCSB Faculty Club, West Campus, features a range of abstract and post-modernist works.  The exhibit will run through

February and is open to the public, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
