On Facebook this morning, influential and eloquent New York art critic, Jerry Saltz asked his friends and fans to post their artists statements on his facebook page where he would provide feedback. There are already around 100 comments posted, so it is probably too late for you to get much feedback on your own artist statement, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn a ton by seeing what he says about others. This is an incredible opportunity to get inside the brain of one of this country’s most important art writers.
